Abstract
This quantitative research examines the impact of training in sustainability on quality management performance in green building projects in the commercial construction industry of Pakistan. It further investigates the role played by organizational culture in moderating this relationship. The study was conducted in Lahore, where 100 construction experts were interviewed through structured questionnaires. SPSS was used to analyze the data, which indicated that training in sustainability has a remarkable effect on quality management performance. In addition, the research discovered that organizations with a robust sustainability-focused culture benefit even more positively from such training. The results underscore the need to incorporate sustainability training in professional development initiatives to improve quality performance in green construction. They also point out the key role organizational culture plays in ensuring that maximum benefits of such training are realized. Firms that encourage a culture compatible with sustainability values are likely to achieve better quality management in their projects. This study offers actionable recommendations for construction companies and policymakers that investing in sustainability training and developing a positive organizational culture can result in improved project outcomes. The research adds to the increasing body of literature on sustainable construction practices, especially in emerging economies such as Pakistan, where green building activities are picking up. These findings can inform industry leaders on how to adopt strategies that improve both sustainability and quality in construction projects.
